TACTICAL OVERLOAD GUIDE

Here are some things you can do in the game with brief suggestions on how to go about them. This is not a complete list or a complete explanation of each strategy, and you can certainly develop them more. Before choosing to do any of the following make sure that the circumstances and your situation in the game are suited for your plan. It is often helpful to take on any goals with other players.

GATHERING AND TRADING
This is a great way to get started if you have little or no connections with other players, the only thing that is needed is at least 1 MART in the area that is willing to purchase basic items, especially DIRT, WATER, and WASTE. The idea is to gather any possible items and sell them to local MARTS in order to establish some capital. The hours may be long and the pay little, but at least it may lead to better investment opportunities. You may also develop business relationships with other players by fulfilling their specific requests when possible.

OFFER ENTRY LEVEL WORK To MORE ADVANCED PLAYERS If your characters have not yet achieved sufficient levels of skilled labour one idea is to perform basic manual labour or fulfilling other missions for other players. This could involve something as simple as TRANSPORTING small items or completing other minor tasks that more advanced players need done but don't have time to do. This may help you to establish capital as well as form business relationships for the future.

JOIN OR FORM A SOCIAL CLUB, GUILDE, POLITICAL PARTY, OR SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP
Whether you are just getting started and trying to make connections with other players or you seek a more advanced social network. The key here is to form your group around a specific interest, belief, skill, or goal that there is a market for. Many different types of opportunities can arise from starting or joining an APPOINTED GROUP such as this.

STARTING AN INDUSTRIAL BUSINESS
If your characters have active MANUFACTURING or CONSTRUCTION skills it is good to know that industrial work is almost always needed. PROSPECTING, MINING, FARMING, REFINING, RECYCLING, MANUFACTURING, and CONSTRUCTION can be very proftibale and admirable work. The only time this work is not really needed is if such markets in the area are already flooded. However, one can always use the essential items created to further themsevles even when this is the case. Unless prices are so cheap that it's easier just to buy than to produce, this type of career can always pay off.

BECOME AN INVESTOR OR STOCK BROKER
Being successful at this endeavour will require a good knowledge of the business practices, supply and demand, corporations, current events, and political climate in your region. The first step is becoming familiar with local banks or starting your own bank. Trading bonds and currency is another related option.

SHOP OWNER OR SUPPLIER
If you are familiar with what is in demand in your region and have the right supply or connections to the right supply building a mart may be a wise consideration. Make sure to advertise the pieces and items you are selling by placing banners in busy areas or broadcasting at a station. Alternatively, you can also become a supplier for shops or industrial businesses.

BECOME AN EXPLORER OR PROSPECTOR
This could be done on your own or after being hired or contracted by another group. This could involve seafaring unknown waters or trekking into unknown lands. Proper supplies and survival skills will be necessary. Such missions can get expensive so you may consider selling shares of stock and offering dividends in the event you are successful. If that isn't an option you may want to try being funded by your local government, however, they may want a big share of the return, if there is any. Make sure to claim ownership or sovereignty of lots depending on your situation.

TRADE REAL ESTATE
This may be an option for you if the region you are in is sufficiently developed. To afford this type of business you will probably need to have a lot of capitol or raise investments. If not, you may have to claim or purchase cheaper lots in a less developed area that may not offer a substantial return. A construction skill is not necessary, but will drastically increase your chance of success.

START A CORPORATION AND SEEK INVESTMENT VIA SHARES OF STOCK
If you don't immidiately have what you need to get started, investment from other players may be the route to take. This will require business connections with other players or other friends, but it can multiply your potential by enabling you to start with more capital. From here you can purchase necessary supplies to catapult your business to a more advanced stage. It is important to assess your situation and make a solid plan so that you do not let down investors. Assuming you already have investors, the first step is to create a TRADED GROUP and get your shares listed at a bank. Let the owner of the bank know that you have investors and be prepared to offer proof. Make sure you are upfront with your investors about dividend payments as well.

PIRACY AND BANDITRY
When discoving an afluent commercial region with insufficient policing this may be an option. Forming a gang of of criminals using a COVERT GROUP may do the trick to help you achieve your goals, but it also may ruin you. It is up to you whether you want to choose a life of extortion, robbery, narcotics, or smuggling. Crime does pay, but there are also huge risks.

TERRAFORMING AND LANDSCAPING
If you have idle characters available that aren't serving any purpose you may consider using them to alter biomes. Though time consuming, altering terrain types can make your lots better suited for the skills of your characters, better for travelling, better for defensive purposes, and can potentially make prospected commodities accessible.
